What is stopping you losing body fat


Losing body fat is your biggest fitness goal. You want to fit into your old clothes, feel more confident and be more energetic. I know you want to be able to keep it off without it all being put back on. So in the blog I will share with you, what is stopping you from losing body fat and simple tips to keep it off.

Why you can't lose body fat


Confused


Confusion based on the different ways to lose body fat on social media, means you do not know what to believe or follow.

Family support


You know you need to lose a few pounds, however your family won't see how important it is to you. This will leave you to put the goal in the back of the line.

Consistency


You followed a plan for a while, but when you stopped seeing results you decided to go back to old habits

Copying


It is easy to follow what has worked for friends and family, but what might work for you will be different. 



As you can see losing body fat is made complicated if you do not have the right guidelines and support in place to succeed. So here are my tips you can follow to help burn of body fat, get you feeling great and keep it off.

1. Move more


Being more active during the day increase the amount of calories you will burn. This is called NEAT, non exercise activity thermogenesis. So this is activity like walking, gardening, shopping excluding exercise.

2. 3 month plan


You must follow a plan that you can adhere to for no less than 3 months. Why? You will be able to learn habit that you can keep for life, while not trying to except quick results that are unsustainable. This applies to nutrition and exercise

4. Set small goals to achieve


Have a realistic target of what you want to achieve in 4 weeks, 12 weeks and long term. You need to know how important the small goals are to help you reach long term success.

5. Calorie deficit


You need to be in a healthy deficit that you never feel hungry. Once you have achieved your ideal body fat range. You can look at increasing your lean muscle tissue which can increase your metabolic rate.

I teach all my clients that there is no one size fits all approach to losing body fat. We all have different lifestyles and preferences so it is important you know to make something sustainable to you.
