Looking for a good personal trainer

Looking for a personal trainer in Brunei.

I assume why you are reading this is because your fed up with personal trainers taking your money?  Maybe you are curious about getting one? Or even worse, you are not getting any results?

Well I'm here to help you pick the best one out of a big bunch. Here's my 9 things that a PT should do for you.

1. Motivator

You want a Personal trainer that will push you, motivate you, and challenge your boundaries so you feel empowered.

2. Looks the part

When working with a personal trainer you want to know your investing in someone who looks the part- they don't need huge muscles, but looks like they care about their health.
Now there is a huge difference between telling you what exercises to do and how to perform the exercises. There is a massive difference between being told to eat less than to track food.

3. Takes interest not only in your fitness goals but your life goals

Now this I feel is the main piece to the jigsaw when working with clients. Its not what you want to achieve in the gym but how those achievements can impact on personal goals. Maybe you want a job promotion but are lacking confidence- or to influence family members.

4. Shares their knowledge

It vital that a PT can influence you to be able to have enough knowledge to be able to train with confidence. Or at least teach you how the body functions and the best way to execute without any injuries.

5. Understands your lifestyle and the demands

In England many PT's will fail if they don't understand the life demands of their clients and it will be the same in Brunei. Your job and studying can be very demanding, and if you are a carer/parent, there is added pressure.

6. Communication away from the gym.

So you're next session is in next 2-3 day, does your PT keep in contact. Maybe its to see how your day is going or even to see if you've done any additional home work they have set.

7. Tracks your data and keeps you also accountable

A full body assessment of weight, body fat and posture analysis is essential so they are keeping records of progress on weekly or fortnightly basis. This helps the two way relationship so you can be also accountable for your progress.

8. Thinking ahead

You should expect a nutriton plan that you can adhere to; (whatever level of the coach) and also an updated 4 week programme. Then to match that your session should be set up before you arrive.

9. Testimonials

Personal training is a results business. A testimonial do not mean just weight loss or muscles gain, it can also mean how well the clients mind set has changed from the start of the journey. Check out my testimonials

Summary

Having a personal trainer is a someone that can keep you accountable and also help adapt progress to your current lifestyle to reach your goals.

Have a great day
