I am going to share with you my best tips on shifting that stubborn weight.

1. Drink water lots of water


Easier said than done, however the key tip is to drink 500ml in the morning when you wake up and 500ml + before you go to bed. Having water with at least 2 of your meals will assist your goal.

2. Get them steps in!


Hitting 10,000+ steps a day will keep you burning them calories. Find that hard to hit?

Keep moving 
-Park further away from work.
-Take the stairs
-Clean the house twice (lol)
-Make sure you get a step counter.
-Compete with friends and family
-Use shopping as a way to get them in.

3. Eat protein and vegetables with every meal

Its been studied that having protein with every meal has a higher chance of losing weight. While having vegetables increase the amount of vitamins and minerals your body loves.

4. Control your cravings


This is where your will power will be in full swing. Soon as your work colleague brings in the chocolate biscuits -RUN!
Truthfully though, its about things in moderation. Having too much can spill you off all your hard  work.

5. Sleep

Sleeping up to 8 hours a night a show to help reduce stress. It also makes you less likely to want sugary foods during the day.

6. Plan your day


Planning your day is a great tool to keep you focused on the day ahead. You will be more likely to stick to it and less likely to put something that is going to ruin your goal.

7. Track your food

If you want the best results then making sure everything is tracked. Your fluid intake all the way to supplements taken. Use 'Myfitnesspal' app - this app has the full range of food products that has accurate calorie and macro calculations.

8. Weight yourself every week.


Focus on weighing yourself every week rather than every day as you will be basing your meals and energy expenditure across the whole week. If you are not deterred by the scales and you are tracking everything daily, you can weigh everyday.

9. Digestion

Improving the digestion helps vital nutrients get into the body. Getting probiotics and having fish oils are a great way to improve the gut function.

10. Believe in the journey

You will have days when it is difficult, you will have a meal where you had a sweet delicious dessert. This is part of your journey where you will find the long term balance of achieving weight loss. Keep staying positive and believe in your journey

Bonus tip!

Exercise


Building up both cardiovascular endurance and muscles strength will torch the fat away. The main focus is to find a exercise you enjoy that will increase your heart rate. The most common exercise strategy is HiiT workouts (High intensity interval training).

Summary

Shifting weight is not just about eating less. To be sustainable for the long term you need to focus on habits that you can sustain. It will take a lot of hard mental work, but once you are there, you will see it a lifestyle. Try not to rush by applying the tips at once, however apply each one when needed.
