5 tips to smash your plateau
Plateau, plateau, plateau something we know will happen in everyones programme. This does not have to mean on the numbers on the scales. It could mean strength, health, fitness or mind set. So I have added 5 tips you may need to apply to help break your plateau.
1. Change your programme
Changing your programme can help to shock the body into adapting to something new. Simple techniques will be reversing your workout or switching the same exercise for a similar option. (Seated row for dumbbell bent over row)
2. Get someone to assess to health and fitness

3. Increase your calories

4. Add in a 'cheat meal'
Adding a cheat meal can give you the mental boost you need. Restricting yourself to a strict diet can of lead to frustration or even the chance to fall off the nutrition plan. Add in a reward for the hard work your putting in will give you something to work towards.
5. Take a day off
Simply put....just rest. You may be over doing it. You do not have to be training everyday to think you will reach your goals quicker. Play the long game rather than the quick fix. Spend time with family, friends or more importantly take time out for yourself.

There are other ways to break plateau, however these are little tips that a lot of people will need to address to go to the next level. Keep experimenting with your body and goals a there is not always one way of doing things.
